I work to bring transparency and modern software tools to government. I am the founder and CEO of Govable.ai, which helps governments modernize legislative and regulatory data, and of DreamProIT, a US/Ukraine software consultancy. I’m passionate about change-management in organizations, in text documents, and in life. I've worked to:

  • Modernize Congress and other Legislatures
  • Advocate for wildlife and wilderness in Latin America
    • Director of the Latin American BioGems Program at the Natural Resources Defense Council, 1999-2001
  • Study how brains work
    • M.S. in Computation and Neural Systems, Caltech, 1996-1999
  • Molecular biology and cancer research
    • Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 1994-5
    • B.S. in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry, Yale, 1989-1993

I specialize in finding technical solutions to help solve complex problems in the public interest.

Modernizing Law and Legislation

I now create software to modernize the legislative process. This work is featured by the Select Committee on the Modernization of Congress at the House of Representatives. I work with great colleagues in these projects and with great public servants in the Office of the Clerk, Law Revision Counsel, Government Publishing Office and other government agencies.

My talk at a Git Satellite event in Brussels explains some of the challenges and our approach to modernizing law.
